The Astley Media team are proud to be members of the Exeter Chiefs Foundation XV.

We are one of several businesses who pledge to raise £1,500 for the charity each year and have done so for the past four years.

In the past we have carried out odd challenges in return for sponsorship and raised money through charging entry into our rugby ‘museum’.

But this time we are planning something different, and we need your help.

We want to trade up the sachet of herbs above (donated to us by the amazing folk at The Greedy Fox until we have an item or experience to the value of £1,500.

It’s a bit bonkers, we know, but also great fun!

So, if you have something you would like to exchange for this delicious pack of Mediterranean seasoning to get the ball rolling, please contact me.

In return, you will feature in this blog and on our social media channels.

You will also go into a draw to join us for the cheque presentation ceremony.

* Established in 2011, The Exeter Chiefs Foundation was formed by the Executive of Exeter Rugby Club with a number of local business people with a passion for fundraising and rugby.

As the Exeter Chiefs progressed as a team over the years, it became more and more popular with local charities and organisations to request the opportunity to collect at games as a source of income and fundraising.

At the point Exeter Rugby Club were promoted into the English Premiership for the 2010/11 season, it became apparent that a more formal approach needed to be taken. This in turn would allow the club to support as many organisations as possible on a match day, as well as developing a tight union with the local community.

Not only was a fair process needed, an overarching foundation was sought to administer it.

Since inception, the charity has raised more than £1m and helped over 80 projects, charities and organisations in the greater Exeter area.

Chaired by Exeter Chief’s Chairman, Tony Rowe OBE, the Foundation’s mission is to make Exeter a greater place to live for all of its citizens. It is a charity that exists only to assist other charities.
